Just before writing this text I was faced the task of converting an URL string containing non-ASCII characters into its encoded form. The task is not extremely challenging, however I am not aware of any tool for that purpose readily available to me on my computer and I am certainly unwilling to perform it manually. Decided to write a couple of lines of JS to be able to encode/decode URL/URI using a WEB page - yet another, but with always known to me location. One can choose between three different encoding functions, namely encodeURI, encodeURIComponent, escape and their decoding counterparts decodeURI, decodeURIComponent, unescape.
